This roundtable aims to highlight the significant links between animal welfare and various aspects of human life, including livelihoods, public health, climate change, and food security. We invite ecosystem players, including non-profits, funders, and government stakeholders, to join us in discussing actionable solutions that enhance animal welfare and, in turn, contribute to our collective well-being. Reinventing Philanthropy to Reinvent India's Educational System
Session Partner: The Circle
Education is a topic that people care deeply about. Significant amounts of funding are being funneled to improving foundational outcomes. Donors are rallying around efforts to turn around failing schools. And yet, the question we need to all be holding is this: will it be enough? Will it help India make the big catalytic jumps it needs to lift hundreds of millions out of poverty?Learnings from countries across the globe - the ones that have traversed the journey from poor to good - tell us that innovation has to play a central role. No country has transformed its educational landscape without a critical mass of innovative proof points - examples that demonstrate what a new reality would look like?Innovation, however, is not a priority. What would it take to shift that? What would it take to have the prescience and foresight to start aiming for catalytic jumps?
