Dr. Neelam Singh is a gynecologist by profession but a social entrepreneur by choice. A doctor from KGMC, Lucknow she is an expert in the field of gender and adolescent health issues in India. She is a founder member and chief functionary of Vatsalya (a not-for-profit organization) set up with the mission for saving the unborn girls in UP. With a wide experience and technical expertise of 18 years she has been awarded with 15th Rotary India Award (2006) and Acharya Vinoba Bhave Award (2001) for pioneering efforts in northern India to curb sex selective elimination of the girl child. She was recently appointed jury member to support #100women campaign by Ministry of Women & Child Development.
